At Holy Cross Lutheran Church, we believe that our distinctive mission is to provide people with experiences, tools and environments that lead them to a life-long journey of faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that together in Jesus Christ we are freed by grace to live faithfully, witness boldly and serve joyfully.

Rev. Noah Johnson

Originally from Osceola, Wisconsin, Noah graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and Luther Seminary.  Noah’s first call as a pastor was to Salem Lutheran Church in Mahtowa, Minnesota.  After seven years, he and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee.  While his wife, Abby, was completing her pediatric dental residency at the NYU Lutheran site in Nashville, Noah served as a chaplain resident at St. Thomas West Hospital, specializing in palliative care.

Pastor Noah’s ministerial passions are varied ~ from spiritual counseling (specifically grief counseling) to creating a weekly sacred space for community to gather, support, and encourage one another.  He continues to progress his passion for writing and his enthusiasm for community as Holy Cross Lutheran’s pastor.

In his spare time, Noah spends it with Abby and their two daughters, Sylvie and Esme.  The Johnson's enjoy reading together, Nordic skiing, mountain biking, singing around the piano and traveling.
