Contemporary Worship Service Suspended
It is apparent to all of us that new COVID cases are significantly increasing in our community. As we have pledged to the Holy Cross membership, we continue to reinforce a “Safe-Measured-Cautious” approach to all church activities. We frequently monitor and evaluate the impact as to the changing conditions of the COVID pandemic. It has become clear to us a change to our worship service program is necessary. We have, therefore, decided to suspend the 10:45 a.m. contemporary worship service beginning Sunday, November 22nd until further notice. We will continue the 8:30 a.m. traditional worship service, both in-person and streaming live through Facebook, and continuing to post concluded services on YouTube and the Holy Cross website.
You may ask why the 10:45 contemporary service? The answer is one of numbers and safety. The contemporary worship service involves the largest number of people, together in the church building, most of whom are within close physical distance to each other while performing the service. For the safety of everyone - the professionals performing and the worshipers attending - it is necessary to take this precaution.
As always, your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated. Together we will get through this.
Until we meet in person keep safe and stay healthy!
