Weekly Message for September 16, 2020
I am pleased to inform you that the Congregation Officers & Council have decided to restart in-person worship services beginning Sunday, October 4th. We will have the Traditional Service at 8:30 am and the Contemporary Service at 10:45. In addition, we will continue streaming both services live online through Facebook and posting them shortly after they are done on YouTube and the Holy Cross website for those members who choose not to attend in person.
Our decision to return to in-person worship was not taken lightly and only after an assessment of our Preparedness Plan, the trend of COVID in our region, and the desire of the Holy Cross membership. While we understand that COVID is present in our lives, and probably will be for some time, we believe the safe precautions we have put in place will greatly minimize the risk of contracting the virus. Of course, the decision to attend in-person worship is a very personal decision and largely depends your individual situation.
Over the next several days and weeks please watch for important additional information regarding our safe procedures and new worship experience.
Sock Drive Reminder; As Holy Cross has done for several years, we are gathering new socks for CHUM. Warm socks are one of the most valued and needed items of clothing for people, especially as we enter into the winter months. Please help us keep our neighbors healthy. The grocery basket, for your donation, is located daily on the sidewalk outside the lower north door. Thank You!
Until we meet in person keep safe stay healthy.
